Delhi Mumbai the eternal debate

Ahem well before i begin, lemme start my stance just might surprise you ...

Delhi - Mumbai - which a better place to live in ??

Well I would say Delhi - if it was just living, in terms of rents, malls, fashion, food, fashion amongst common people, and travel, cos of its essentially a circular geography instead of it along a coast line, and of course the Delhi Metro.

Mumbai might argue, space might be a constraint and cost of living may be jus a tad higher, but Mumbai is the bollywood and industry heart and soul. And with bollywood and its designers there, it obviously has fashion...

Well lemme say if it were just plain living, delhi would b better. Food is equally spicy at both places and well fashion in a commoner - delhi is way ahead ...

But living needs to be well LIVING a full life...and thats where Mumbai beats Delhi hands down, then whether that be beaches, a stroll in the morning or late in night or , or going to pubs / discs for just hanging out with friends, at ANY TIME of the day ...without the gender factor coming into play. Also, there is the attitude of people, an important factor. BINDASS in mumbai...Less of show off, the local is for the high end consultant as much it is for the machchi wali or a subzi wala..Whatever you wear or for that matter dun wear, people dnont blink an eye in Mumbai, its a way of life, and for that matter its YOUR life. That is the attitude of most classes of people there. In delhi, wearing something jazzy just might invote trouble for a girl, not just from the uneducated, but their counterparts as well, age isnt a factor at all.
Then there one lil thing more in Mumbai, that makes a big difference. The community comes together on festivals, as one. they celebrate it together, be it ganesha chaturthi, krishna janmasthmi, navratras dandiya, Independence day or the city Marathons... People enjoy not in siloed homes or small families, but together...
In Delhi, its more isolated, one off. May be the hectic pace of life makes it so, but what the heck, Mumbai sprints too..

So in my opinion, Mumbai wins hands down if one wants to live bindass metro paced life...

PS:I have stayed all my life in Delhi, so it should mean a hell more coming from me ...

One factor where both cities lose it is the fact that you might just not know who lives next door to you in the "jeevan ki aapadhapi" and the local/metros fast pace of life ...

Waiting for college to restart..

BAKAR ... loads of it with friends :)

Basically khub sari masti n loads of gud time with friends ...

jus to write one more ...

People write can write so much about the management topics, gyan, nice chapters/blogs, but why i cant manage to write even one, its beyond me.
For one, may be i dun have the patience towards explaining a stuff to sumone, and for second, i am a last moment person and so any concept understanding for me happens last moment b4 the deadline. I know i know thats a real bad way of knowing things.. but thats the way it is. For third, i like to learn by obeservation, observing people around me, why one behaves in a certain way, the human nature intrigues me. So i could write on that, yea, but then agn, its not why one behave but rather, how would one behave, i rather like mining the past and predicting how would one behave to a given sitn. That being my trait, a one rather beyond six sigma case, gives me a hard time in prediction. :) The core reason , i dislike anything that is without emotion, even work, it has to some human element / touch in it. That is not to say that the ones who write such articles are beyond emotion, nothing like that, but thats the situation with me....

Lets see how it goes in another 6 months of the mba life ...and well thereafter :P

Being Normal...

Today was a normal April day in Delhi for Kajjal.

Had to get ready for school in the morning. Her mom woke her up and she slept jus a few more winks of sleep in the morning before the days grind. :P
Managed to reach her new school in time, and rushed straight to the assembly grounds. Prayers, speeches, weeks schedule, and the national anthem to end it.
The first lecture was English communication, and well just to initiate the class, the teacher started off with a debate. That being her forte she gave a good fight to the opposing team. Soon everyone knew her in class. Positive start. Lectures went by. Lunch break is when she was thinking who to join for lunch when few of her classmates invited her over. After the initial introductions, they chatted on along about the new movie released last Friday and which actor was the hottest dude on the block in bollywood. Tad, the breaks get over too soon always!! 2 more lectures and then it was done. See you soons and byes exchanged.
Once back home, she mulled over her first day at the new school. Pretty much normal, nothing great and not too bad either. People were nice. All in all, NORMAL. Phew… And she sighed with relief. All day’s tensions oozing away.

Well what’s the highlight/relief all about?

Well for one thing it was her first day at a school for normal children, one which was not for handicapped, her first day with the artificial leg, instead of the wheelchair to give herself the mobility , her first day without the sympathetic but suffocating smiles and looks, her first day for who she was, her first day towards normality…
